Introduction

Hope for HIV/AIDS Life Support International is a leading Community-based HIV Organization operating from Mushin LGA in Lagos, and  was established in the year 2000 to provide faith-driven approaches in the mitigation of HIV/AIDS epidemic and other Reproductive Health matters in the community it was registered with Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission as a non-governmental organization. We offer health services that affirm human dignity and manifest God’s love. These services we provides includes:
o   HIV/AIDS awareness creation and sensitization
o   Advocacy and Capacity building for youth and church leaders (e.g Pastors, Elders, Deacons)
o   HIV/AIDS and Behavioural change counselling
o   Home-based care and support services to PLWHA and OVC to the following communities in Lagos;

Current and Completed Projects

ONGOING COOPERATION YOUR ORGANISATION HAS WITH ORGANISATIONS.
 
  1. We currently are implementing “Holistic HIV/AIDS Home-Based Care” to people living with HIV/AIDS in ilaje community here in Lagos with support from GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceutical Nigeria Ltd.
  2. Training course with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Lagos Chapter, to train 1200 church leader to becoming HIV/AIDS Counsellors.
  3. We have technical partnership with the World Bank Institute to train youth Leaders in Lagos on Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) under the ‘Debate To Action’ project
  4. We have IEC Development cooperation with the Nigeria Bible Society.
  5. We have Community Outreach on Prevention Advocacy with the Hope Worldwide, Nigeria.
  6. We have just concluded a WACC project on Capacity Development for Church leaders on HIV stigma/discrimination.  We trained 97 Church leaders.

Partner Needs

  • To Build Classrooms for poorest of the poor children in the hard to reach rural communitiies
  • 4 Units of motorcycles for community Home-visit and palliative follow-up to those who are sick and are dying in the rural hard to reach communities
  • Volunteers who will join us to do the work

Financial Needs

  • To buy building materials for pre-school construction
  • To buy cooking materials for orphans children feeding program
  • school Uniforms for 120 poor children
